Stream Player is supplied as an APK file — an ordinary Android app that you install yourself rather than through the Play Store. Android asks for permission the first time you do this, which is normal and only has to be answered once.
Step by step
- Open the download link you were given, in the phone's own browser. The file is saved to your Downloads folder.
- Open the downloaded file. Tap the download notification, or find it in Files → Downloads.
- Android will say that this source is not allowed to install apps. Tap Settings on that message and turn on the permission for the browser you downloaded with, then go back.
- Tap Install, then Open.
The app then asks for your licence key — continue with Activating your licence.
Later versions install straight over the top; nothing is lost, and you do not need to enter your licence key or set up your provider again.
