The provider answers but no channels appear Print

This is good news of a sort: the address is right and your provider is answering. They simply have nothing to send this device, which is nearly always about the MAC address.

What to do

  1. Open Settings → Manage servers, open the provider, and note the MAC address shown there.
  2. Send it to your provider and ask them to register it on your subscription — or ask them for the MAC address already registered on your account, and enter that one instead.
  3. Press Test connection. Once the MAC is on their system, channels appear.

If your provider says the MAC is registered and it still fails

Some providers only accept MAC addresses that belong to genuine set-top box hardware, and check them against the device itself. A software app cannot pass that check, whatever address it uses. Ask your provider for a MAC address that is not in the range beginning 00:1A:79 — most are happy to issue one, and everything works normally afterwards.

Also worth confirming with them: that the subscription is active and has not expired, and that a package of channels is attached to it. An account with neither answers exactly like this.
