A recording of what you were watching stopped
This kind of recording writes down what you are watching, so it ends when that ends. Changing channel, leaving the player, or the app being closed all stop it. That is by design — it is what makes recording cost no extra bandwidth and never interrupt your picture.
A booked recording did not run
Check Settings → Scheduled recordings, which says what happened to each one. The usual reasons:
- The device was switched off at the time. A device that is off cannot record.
- The connection was not allowed. Bookings default to Wi-Fi only, so one that comes due on mobile data is skipped rather than quietly spending it. Change this with Allowed connection in the same screen.
- The subscription's stream was in use. A booked recording needs one of its own; if you were watching at the time on a single-stream subscription, it could not have both.
- Battery saving. Some manufacturers stop apps from waking up. If bookings are regularly missed, find Stream Player in the device's battery settings and set it to unrestricted.
