Once the transfer is initiated, the .DE registry contacts the current domain name's registrar to request its approval:
To initiate the transfer of a .DE domain name you will be asked to provide an authorization code (AuthID). You can obtain it from your current domain name's registrar.
You must also ensure that no protection against transfer is activated at the current registrar.

Once the transfer is initiated, the .DE registry contacts the current domain name's registrar to request its approval:
- In the event of acceptance within 5 days, the transfer is immediatly carried out.
- In the event of refusal or failure to reply within 5 days, the transfer is cancelled.
Once the transfer has been finalized, the domain name's expiration date is extended for a one year period starting from the date of the end of transfer.
